The 'Friends' Cast's Best Emmys Red Carpet Looks

by Kali Borovic

With the Emmys come bold personalities, talent, and style. If there's any cast in TV history who truly embodies all three of these things, it's the fab six of Friends. Together on and off screen, the cast gave us ten years of laughs and plenty of iconic fashion to go with them. Although the show only won the Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series once, the Friends cast's best Emmys outfits definitely make up for it (OK, so they were robbed — but they definitely had sweet red carpet style).

The cast of Friends delivered the best haircuts, the funniest jokes, and the most unforgettable characters of the '90s, but the six of them also had incredible style. On-screen, their outfits changed with the trends throughout the show's decade-long run, ranging from grungy flannel in the mid-'90s to early '00s camisoles and slip dresses, but their red-carpet style was just as iconic. From Jennifer Aniston's subtly sweet gowns to Lisa Kudrow's all-black attire, this cast gave us standout Emmys outfits for an entire decade.

Kudrow, Aniston, and Courteney Cox weren't the only ones who wowed during awards seasons; the men of Friends all had their dapper moments as well. Each cast member was known for their lovable personality on camera, and those warm and funny vibes definitely translated to the red carpet. Let's take a look back at the Friends cast at the Emmys, shall we?

1. The One With The Black-And-White Dress

Cox looked stunning as she walked the Emmys red carpet in 2003. She wore a white gown with black and gray stripes of sheer overlay that looked breezy and casual. Paired with a bold bracelet and diamond drop earrings, this was her best Emmys look yet.

The bottom of her dress was especially gorgeous as she walked. The train was just enough to give the look some personality while not taking it over the top.

2. The One With The Purple Sunnies

Matthew Perry shaded all the haters as he walked into the 2004 Emmys. He frequently wore sunglasses to red carpet events, but these purple shades made him really stand out.

Seriously, he kept them on all throughout the pictures. Talk about some serious swag!

3. The One With The Big Hair

Keeping her hair natural, Kudrow's best Emmys red carpet moment was in 2012, when she rocked a black dress with a striped top, making for a two-piece allusion.

Her hair was big, her makeup was soft, and she looked gorgeous. Her simple necklace provided the perfect touch of elegance that pulled the entire outfit together.

4. The One With The Plaid Suit

Matt LeBlanc's best Emmys outfit came way after his Friends days were over. He stepped out onto the 2014 red carpet in a gray-and-black plaid suit that made him stand out among a sea of boring black tuxes.

He rocked the heck out of this suit.

5. The One With The Beads

Although it doesn't compete with her Sag Awards or Golden Globes looks, this beaded Chanel gown from the 2004 Emmys was incredible. In 2004, Aniston was sporting a rock from Brad Pitt and a white column dress that looked absolutely gorgeous.

It's no surprise that she had the perfect disheveled hair to complement her look. Her oversize earrings were also pretty memorable.

6. The One That Kept It Classic

David Schwimmer didn't attend too many Emmys ceremonies, but he did show up in 2002, the year the show won the Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series, and he kept it classic in a black suit.

Complete with bed-head and all, this look was very early '00s.

I'd say it's time for a stylish reunion at this year's Emmys!
