Allison Williams Gets Married In De La Renta

Wedding bells were ringing on Sept. 19 as Allison Williams got married, the beloved GIRLS star tying the knot to CollegeHumor founder Ricky Van Veen. After dating for three years, the couple had a ranch wedding in Wyoming, inviting a star-studded guest list including John Mayer, Lena Dunham, Zosia Mamet, Jemima Kirke, and Katy Perry, according to People.

Going for a traditional, fairytale-like gown, Williams walked down the aisle in a handmade Oscar de la Renta couture gown. With sheer long sleeves, a lace overlay over a princess-like skirt, and a trailing veil, the 27-year-old actress looked every inch the beautiful bride.

Even though their wedding got postponed earlier in Feb. 2015 after Williams' father Brian Williams was suspended from NBC News, the pair was still clearly excited to tie the knot, according to E! Online. So what's next for the happy couple? Williams hinted at her future plans to Glamour Magazine last year. "My goal is to create a career I can walk away from and become a mom," she said. "I'd love to be a mom — and not have to bring my kids into my trailer... Or a balance (of both)."

According to Williams, however, that's still a long way in the future. Whatever she decides to do, I'm sure she'll have a fabulous newlywed year nonetheless.

In honor of Williams' dreamy confection of a dress, here are five other fall-inspired wedding gowns you can walk down the aisle in. While summer brides are all about the frothy skirts and bare shoulders, fall brides can play a little more with detail.

The Perfect Early Fall Gown

August Gown, $700, bhldn.com

The heavy lace overlay is synonymous with the texture loving attitude of fall (suedes, leathers, and velvets anyone?) and the cap sleeves and higher neckline give it a more covered up, chillier-weather feel.

The Audrey

Grace Gown, $2,300, bhldn.com

If you opt for a fall wedding, you have to have long sleeves. There's something so dreamy about the contrast of a leotard-like top with a princess inspired tulle bottom.

The Princess Dress

Style 2491, $1,349, alfredangelo.com

The heavy tulle skirt and thick lace sleeves will keep you warm during a nippy fall wind, but still look as ethereal and romantic as your June dress counterparts.

The Flapper-esque Gown

Josina Gown, $1,200, bhldn.com

This gown is like a mix of summer and fall together: The plunging neckline is reminiscent of a wedding in the middle of June, but the delicate sheer overlay gives it a covered up feel that's appropriate for red and gold leaf weather.

The Queen Of The Ball

Style 2212, $699, alfredangelo.com

While this option is a little more exposed than the others, the details are where you get your fall inspiration from. The dark olive sash breaks away from the usual pink or glittery mold, and brings to mind other warm tones like burnt orange or gold.

Channel Allison Williams' princess vibes in any one of these gowns, and get ready to wedding-it-up in style this fall.
