Why Is Fred Armisen Wearing A Freddy Kruger Glove?
What would an awards show red carpet be without a little quirky fashion humor, right? Well, one celeb seemed to think so — Fred Armisen showed up to the 2015 Emmy Awards wearing a Freddy Krueger glove (yes, you read that correctly), and I am still trying to understand why. Confusion doesn't even begin to explain what I'm feeling right now.
The 48-year-old hit the carpet on Sunday night in a typical black and white suit, coupled with a not-so-typical razored claw on his right arm per the popular horror movie character. I guess that's one way to make sure all eyes are on you.
If you thought the one-handed claw was strange enough, think again, because the actor did not stop there. Oh no, he went full-on Krueger, donning the villain's signature green and red stripes in his tie — huh? Is this supposed to be some sort of tribute to the famed fictional serial killer? Hey, maybe Armisen is just a really big fan of the horror film series.
No, i've got it! Armisen wore the glove in honor of his favorite charity — he announced on Late Night With Meyers that he was "running in a 5k to create awareness for the interesting hand accessory made famous in A Nightmare on Elm Street," according to US Magazine.
Take a look at the rather interesting ensemble.
What could he possibly be trying to accomplish here?!
Yeah, this is just strange. Sorry Armisen.
