Jennifer Lawrence Won Another Award For Her Awesomeness
That's right. Since it's a day that ends in a 'y,' another award has been bestowed upon Jennifer Lawrence for excelling in being awesome in life. This time: According to The Huffington Post, Jennifer Lawrence has been chosen as AP 's entertainer of the year, just beating out her The Hunger Games co-star Liam Hemsworth's ex-fiancé, Miley Cyrus.
It's a totally deserved and expected distinction — since breaking out in Hollywood with The Hunger Games, Lawrence has pretty much been unstoppable in the awards circuit, and, at 23, has already won an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, a SAG award... to name a few. What were you doing at 23? Watching Keeping Up With the Kardashians reruns on your couch when your roommates aren't home because you're too ashamed to admit you watch every episode? No? That's just me? Right. Forget I said anything.
Anyway, Lawrence reportedly won over Cyrus with just one vote — out of 70 ballots submitted by members of the Associated Press, Lawrence scored 15 votes, while Cyrus scored 14. A close third was apparently Netflix, with 13 votes.
Amongst the reasons Lawrence was chosen: Not only is she a box office hit and completely charming in interviews, but she's a proven talent in any role she takes on, in addition to a fashion trendsetter.
So, congrats J.Law! Your entertainer of the year, America:
Such poise, such grace.
