Update On Kim Zolciak's Recovery

by Caitlyn Callegari

Don't be tardy for Kim Zolciak-Biermann's recovery party. It's clear that the absolute trooper is keeping up her usual perky and can-do attitude despite having a mini-stroke on Sept. 23 that left her hospitalized for two days. On Sunday, Zolciak released a statement about her condition to People, in which she said that she is hopeful that she will return to Dancing With The Stars . Her attitude isn't surprising; if you watched Zolciak-Biermann on Real Housewives of Atlanta, you know that there isn't much that can keep her down. It seems like not even a mini-stroke can deter her, despite how terrifying the unexpected ailment must have been.

It was a relief to hear of her improving condition, both physically and emotionally, from the star herself. Zolciak-Biermann told People,

"I want to thank everyone for their love and support over the past few days. I am now home with my family, resting and taking care of my health. I can't express enough how much I love dancing and this whole experience, and I hope this will not be the end of dancing."

Zolciak-Biermann isn't the only one who's hopeful about her recovery. People relays that in a previous statement, the celeb's DWTS partner Tony Dovolani said,

"After spending only a few weeks with Kim, it is evident of how much of a fighter she is. Her humor and positivity are still shining through, and it's amazing to see the love and support of her family. We are hoping for a speedy recovery."

No matter how much Zolciak-Biermann may want to get back to the show, and how much fans want her to as well, it's far more important that the potential DWTS winner is at optimal health before returning. For now, let's focus on the little victories — like being thankful that the sassy southerner is out of the hospital and in such good spirits.
