And The Most Googled Designer In America Is...

by Augusta Statz

Let’s face it, we all have our Internet obsessions. Googling fashion designers may be something you do, along with watching cute cat videos, and just in case you were curious, Tom Ford is the most Googled fashion designer in America. The folks at Glamour were just interested enough in your search engine habits to find this out, and honestly, it is interesting information.

They actually went so far as to compile a list of the 10 most Googled designers, and while Ford tops it, designers like Diane Von Furstenburg, Marc Jacobs and Vera Wang also managed to land spots. I wouldn’t say I was super surprised by any of this news, especially with Ford snagging the number one slot. I mean, if Jay-Z raps about you, you’ve pretty much officially made it in life, you know? And with an impressive tenure at Gucci and a decade at his eponymous label under his belt, there have certainly been plenty of Google-able moments in this designer's career.

To pay tribute to the most Googled fashion designer (as if that title alone wasn’t enough), let’s take a look at seven of his best red carpet designs, because if these gowns aren’t worth a second, third, and fourth look, then I don’t know what you do with your time on the Internet.

Rihanna is the only person who could wear black crocodile print this well.

The incredible intricacy of this dress is a Ford specialty.

Blue metallic doesn't sound like it would look this good, but, man, is this dress beautiful, or what?

Yeah, it makes sense that people are Googling this designer.
