Meghan Trainor Wants You To #OwnYourCurves!

Bass, treble, whatever! Beautiful, bubbly, and curvaceous singer MeghanTrainor is the face of FullBeauty Brands' #OwnYourCurves campaign. The body positive pop singer, who declared she was "bringing booty back" and who encourages ladies to love their shape via her addictively catchy, doo-wop-inspired pop songs, and the campaign remind women of the importance of being "a full beauty!"

Trainor's partnership with FullBeauty Brands was announced back in the spring. But this particular campaign really is everything, since it's inspiring on so many levels. Trainor confessed that she was onboard immediately, since the goal is to help women feel confident.

"They told me what they were doing and how they wanted to make women feel more confident," Trainor said, according to Women's Wear Daily. "It was the same views I was having, so I thought it was the perfect fit."

So what, exactly, does this campaign entail? Well, Trainor will appear in campaign imaging, wearing clothes and looks from FullBeauty's repertoire of private labels. The campaign will boast the "To Be a Full Beauty" tag. Trainor will also participate as a judge in the FullBeauty Brands designer contest, where FIT students create five looks for full-figured women.

It also takes the power back from words.

"I like that people are wanting to get rid of the term 'plus-size' because it shouldn't be that," Trainor told WWD regarding FBB's recent renaming and rebranding efforts.

She continued, "That’s the genius thing about the name FullBeauty. It’s not just labeling bigger sizes and it doesn’t make you feel bigger or different. It makes you feel confident and sexy."

Amen to that!

Essentially, the crux of this campaign is to help consumers recognize the concept of "full beauty as more than a shape and size," FBB president Stephanie Sobel told WWD.

Sobel continued, "It's a message that we want to send and how we want to empower the consumer to shop on our website."
