Laurel Makes A Bold Decision On 'Arrow'

Well, folks, we knew this was bound to happen eventually. After months and months of carrying out vigilante justice unscathed, it seems as though Thea is finally feeling the side effects of the Lazarus Pit and her recovery is bound to be quite the uphill battle. However, that's not to say that this little turn of events didn't also come with a few advantages — like giving Laurel the idea to resurrect Sara Lance using the Arrow 's Lazarus Pit as well. But let's back up for a minute because, as usual, I'm getting way too ahead of myself.

During Wednesday night's Arrow episode "The Candidate," Oliver can't help but notice how different his sister has become when dealing with confrontation in her new crime-fighting garb. In fact, she even went so far as to break a homeless man's arm when he refused to tell her information. This type of short-fuse violence is actually pretty reminiscent of the old Oliver Queen in Season 1, which is why he's immediately concerned and knows that this behavior can't and shouldn't go on.

So far, the rage and aggression seem to be the main side effects of the Pit, at least for now. But when you're dealing with someone who's constantly interacting with Star City's biggest, baddest villains, you can't help but wonder if that darker craving inside of her will eventually turn Thea herself into a villain. (Which I still think could totally happen, especially since she just set a man on fire this week.)

But the good news is that she's growing more and more aware of her condition and even made a point of opening up to Laurel about what happened to her at Nanda Parbat. (Side bar: was anyone else shocked to learn that none of the Team Arrow members seemed to know that Thea was briefly killed last season? Way to bury the lead, Oliver.) Because now that the information is out in the open, it's given Laurel a very big idea. Not only is she going to take Thea back to Nanda Parbat to figure out what's happening to her, but she's also going to bring her sister's dead body with them… and place her into the Lazarus Pit.

Get ready for the biggest resurrection yet, everyone!
