How To Dress Like A Dash Doll For Halloween

by Sebastian Zulch

Anyone who keeps up with the Kardashians on a semi-regular basis is probably aware of the new reality show Dash Dolls on E!, which premiered in Sept. 2015. Heck, you're probably even wondering how to get your own Dash Dolls Halloween costume by now. As a fan of all things Kardashian, I've always been fascinated by what goes on at Dash, the sisters' upscale Hollywood boutique. And as a lover of all things fashion, I have always been equally interested in learning about the clothes and the way the business is run when Khloe, Kim, and Kourtney aren't around (which seems to be very often).

Through Dash Dolls, viewers get an inside look of the store's happenings and the ladies who run it (aka the "Dash dolls"). However, the story is not limited to the inner workings of Dash or the daily dramas of each character, but also includes the fierce looks the ladies seem to serve up on a daily basis.

Their personal styles are absolutely unique, but are clearly all inspired by their Kardashian bosses, right down to the meticulous eyebrows and expert contouring (both on the face and the cleavage). So show your love for Dash, the Kardashians' efforts, and the women who make it all possible by considering being a Dash doll for Halloween. Here are a few ways to do it.

1. Flex Your Contouring Skills

If you ever needed a time to show off your contouring skills, this is it. But if you're like me and are too intimidated to try contouring your face, this costume is the perfect opportunity to give it a shot alongside plenty of other (often crudely done) Halloween makeup jobs.

There are plenty of tutorials for easy contouring to be found online, using only a few tools like a foundation stick, matte bronzing powder, and a highlighter. Don't be scared: You have a couple of weeks to practice your skills in the mirror.

2. Rock Caroline's Bold Smoky Eye

Dash sales associate Caroline Burt rocks a beautiful smoky eye pretty much on the daily. She made her own smoky eye tutorial, with pro tips like applying the shadow before your face makeup (to avoid any "falloff"), using eyeshadow primer, and having lots of different brushes on hand.

However, this would be easy to replicate simply by blending some of your favorite shades in any smoky eye palette with emphasis on your creases and using some good 'ol liquid liner along the way. Add a swipe of mascara and some eyebrow pencil (if you're so inclined), and you're good to go.

3. Show Off Your Curves In A Body-Hugging Frock

The name of the game with the Dash dolls seems to be "body hugging, boobs, and black." Channel all three in a sexy body-hugging LBD and embrace your inner doll.

4. Rock A Crop Top Set

When they're not rocking form-fitting dresses (with plenty of cleavage), the dolls often sport polished crop top co-ords. Pair a sleek top with a fitted skirt or a pant with a wider leg and you're good to go. Cute strappy heels and statement necklaces are optional.

5. Look Dashing In A Jumpsuit

Both the Dash dolls and the Kardashians are huge fans of the jumpsuit. In typical doll fashion, opt for one that hugs your figure (and the darker the better). If you're feeling daring, channel Dash co-manager Khadijah Haqq McCray in the above promo shot and rock a sequined jumpsuit.

6. Dash In The Details

Accessorize with some actual Dash merchandise because, as a devoted Dash doll, brand recognition is important to you. Not surprisingly, you can get a ton of things that say "DASH" on them from the boutique's online store, alongside Kris Jenner's cookbook and the novel that Kendall and Kylie co-wrote together. Carry a Dash compact mirror to check your makeup, stay hydrated at the party with your Dash water bottle, or rock a Dash rubber bracelet to show your support for the store.

Get ready to walk out of the house looking like a doll and feeling prepared to wow (and potentially annoy) your friends with all your knowledge of Dash and the Kardashians.
