The #BalmainArmy strikes again. Kendall Jenner and the rest of the supermodel clan hit the catwalk at the Balmain for H&M launch event in NYC on Tuesday night, and it was more exciting than all of fashion month combined. After months of anticipation and red carpet teasers from It-girls like Jenner and Gigi Hadid, the complete lookbook finally arrived last week, and now we caught a glimpse of the full collection IRL as it made its runway debut.
The highly coveted collection has garnered more buzz than pretty much any fashion collaboration ever before, so you knew this wasn't going to be just some ordinary fashion show, right? Not only were the crème de la crème of supermodels in attendance, but the event boasted a top secret musical performance that I bet no one saw coming.
Creative Director Olivier Rousteing chose his favorite muse, Jenner, to open the highly anticipated show (obviously) in a signature gold bedazzled top and wide waist belt. BFF Hadid trailed behind, followed by little sister Bella, Jourdan Dunn, Alessandra Ambrosio, Karlie Kloss and Joan Smalls, who all walked in a plethora of colorful, blinged-out looks.
But it was none other than the Backstreet Boys who closed the show, dressed in head-to-toe H&M X Balmain themselves, tapping into our '90s nostalgia with their classic hits like "Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)," "Larger Than Life," and "I Want it That Way." It looked to be a truly magical night.
