Pregnancy Isn't Slowing Down This Dancer At All

I'd like to consider myself a somewhat adequate, if at the very least competent, dancer. In fact, after a few choice (read: strong) cocktails, I consider myself a regular John Travolta circa 1977. But then I see a rhythmically-gifted woman dancing while in labor, or the history-making Misty Copeland slaying the art form with a gorgeous performance to Yo-Yo Ma, and I’m like, “Nope, you’re not even an Elaine Benes. Not even on her worst, little-kicks kind of day.”

And in case I needed a reminder that I have absolutely no dancing talent whatsoever (and even the strongest of cocktails couldn’t possibly change that) there’s always this woman: 27-weeks pregnant with her third child and destroying the dance floor like it’s her job.

The Macarena-shaming mama teaches a dance class at a local Napa, California high school, and she definitely isn’t letting a little thing like baby-growing slow her down. Someone let Drake know he has some serious dance competition.

So, in the name of miraculous mothers the world over, who put to bed the very idea that pregnancy means you’re fragile, constantly afraid, and unable to do anything remotely physical: I give you the these bad ass moves, one glorious gif at a time.

I mean, WORK.

Dat hair flip doe.

Alright, seriously. I want to be her.

There are no words. Only admiration. And jealousy. Definitely a lot of jealousy.

That baby is going to be born with some serious natural talent.

FLAWLESS.

Someone tell Beyoncé where she can find hew new backup dancer.

She can't stop; she won't stop.

There ain't no shame in her pregnancy game.

The best part? She's obviously having a blast and enjoying her body, in all its baby bump glory.

You can watch the entire routine below, but I will warn you: Attempting these exact dance moves awkwardly in front of your bathroom mirror is a well-known side effect.
