Jamie Chung Is Married!
Admittedly, I'm not really much of a fan of weddings in general, but for some reason, I just love a good celebrity wedding. There's something about the decadence and spectacle of weddings that involve famous people that I find so enjoyable, no matter how big or small the ceremony. They're even better when they involve a celeb whose work I know well and enjoy, which is why I was thrilled to hear that Jamie Chung married Bryan Greenberg in a ceremony held Halloween night in California. I've been a fan of Chung's for what seems like years, but really got to know and enjoy her as Mulan on Once Upon A Time, and it's great to know she's finally got her very own happy ending (hyuck hyuck).
A Halloween wedding may seem unconventional, but really, October 31 is just another day, anyway. Chung and Greenberg celebrated their union in front of family and close friends at Santa Barbara's El Capitan Canyon nature resort in what was, according to Martha Stewart Weddings, a "rustic chic" ceremony. More than 200 guests were in attendance at the ceremony, which included both personal vows and Jewish traditions. After they became husband and wife, sunset cocktails and a light dinner were served.
Greenberg, himself a singer/songwriter and fellow actor, is said to have taken charge of the music element of the ceremony, calling on the couple's mutual friend to sing their first dance song. Meanwhile, Chung dressed her bridesmaids in custom gowns. That's not all, either. The celebration started on Friday night, when guests arrived at El Capitan for a "Boos and Booz" welcome dinner and costume party. Basically, it sounds like the most fun weekend ever, and I'm totally jealous/sad that my invite clearly got lost in the mail.
Chung and Greenberg are said to have been friends for several years before they began dating in 2012. They became engaged after Greenberg proposed in January 2014, and the rest, as they say, is history. I'm sure the wedding was a beautiful occasion, and since the duo totally seem like the most adorable couple ever, I'm gonna go ahead and say that they're going to last forever, because it's clearly going to happen. Big congrats are in order for the happy couple, and all the best for the years to come.
