Who Said It: Luna Lovegood or Kimmy Schmidt?

Everything I know about being myself and achieving my goals, I learned from the motivational posters lining the chalk-scented walls of my elementary school classrooms. “Reach for the stars!” exclaimed a startled-looking cat riding a saucer through outer space. “Plant the seed of knowledge and it will grow,” suggested an elderly farmer and his shovel. No matter the classroom I rested my world-weary 8-year-old eyes in, though, I could always count on a pick-me-up from the most motivational motivational poster of all: “Dare to be different!” commands the gangly yellow tulip, rising proudly above a field of basic red tulips. Might we, in the sea of stock-model crimson, aspire to be the yellow tulip?

That brings me to two of pop cultures most memorable yellow tulips: Luna Lovegood and Kimmy Schmidt. Any true Harry Potter-phile knows they can count on Luna Lovegood for an eccentric line or two to break up a tense scene. Who doesn't love a dreamy Luna quote? Fast forward to 2015, and many of us have found an equally fond soft spot for the idiosyncratic heroine of The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and her off-the-wall one-liners.

Luna, Kimmy, in their endearing refusals to conform to the pack, are spectacular in their weirdness. So, in the spirit of yellow, take a look at the following quotes, and see if you can determine from which quirky lady they came.
