Where Is Rihanna's New Album?

by Alex Kritselis

It's November... do you know where Rihanna's new album is? No, of course not. Nobody does! But, in the interest of keeping everyone up to speed, here's the latest "R8" update: According to Billboard, Rihanna's new album, ANTI , could arrive at some point in December, "with a rumored surprise release likely." Hey, that's good news, right? Yes, in theory. However, Billboard also reports that Rihanna and her record label, Roc Nation, have "hit a few snags" while attempting to launch the project's promotional campaign. Uh-oh. Billboard alleges that the "B---- Better Have My Money" hit-maker is having a hard time selecting her next single, which has allegedly caused her to bail on "several" upcoming events, including the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Bummer. But wait, there's more!

To top it all off, Rih's father reportedly told The Sun recently that his daughter "is not happy" with her eighth LP and is "still looking for fresh material" for the track list. Yikes! So, to sum everything up in one handy hashtag: #pray4ANTI.

But, "every dark cloud has a silver lining," right? What's the silver lining here? Excellent question. The silver lining here, my friends, is that the fourth quarter of 2015 is going to bring us new releases from Adele, One Direction, Justin Bieber, Ellie Goulding, and possibly even Beyoncé. The silver lining here is that even if ANTI doesn't arrive until 2016, we're going to have a lot of great music to listen to in the meantime. So, Rihdonkulous (may I call you Rihdonkulous?), take as long as you need. Your loyal fans will wait.

(Side note: I'm feeling pretty calm about this whole situation right now, but my mood has been known to change at the drop of a hat. Ask me how I'm feeling next month. Hopefully, I'll be able to maintain my cool... but I wouldn't count on it.)
