Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev & 6 Other Celeb Couples We Need To See Back Together

Is it just me, or did watching Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder be adorable together at the People's Choice Awards break your heart a little bit? This former couple of three years joked about the awkwardness of breaking up while your characters are still dating (for them, it's the vampire couple Elena and Damon on The Vampire Diaries). While there are still whispers that these two may be hooking up in secret, we can only hope that this cute pair makes a comeback in the future for real, making Delena lovers everywhere ever-so-happy.

But they aren't the only couple we'd love to see reunited. Click through to see the other celebrities we hope get back together.

Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling

This couple starred together in the wonderful romantic weep-fest that is The Notebook, and were equally as perfect together in real life. Though the couple was rumored to have gotten back together earlier this fall, it doesn’t seem like that ever played out. Sure, we want Ryan Gosling to be our boyfriend, but since that’s not happening any time soon, we’ll settle for him reuniting with the beautiful and talented Rachel McAdams any day.

Blake Lively and Penn Badgely

This couple — who met on the set of Gossip Girl — couldn’t keep their hands off of one another, both as their characters Serena and Dan and in real life. Though the couple broke up, their characters ended up married at the end of Gossip Girl’s six season run, which means that there is always hope. Sure, Blake Lively is married to Ryan Reynolds, but celebrity marriages can’t last forever, right?

Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron

These High School Musical co-stars were a couple onscreen and off and were together from 2005 to 2010. Nicknamed Zanessa, these two were the Brangelina of the teen world and were photographed doing very cute things all of the time. We’re sad these two young lovebirds couldn’t make it work once the HSM trilogy ended, but if they ever want to reunite for, say, High School Musical 4, we’d be cool with that.

Courteney Cox and David Arquette

As a major fan of the Scream movies (a girl likes what she likes) I was kind of heartbroken when I found out that David Arquette and Courteney Cox had called it quits. Sure, I really cared more about the fact that Gale and Dewey (their characters from the tongue-in-cheek slasher films) were over, but with chemistry like this, why shouldn’t I be?

Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom

I know that this couple has had a lot of struggles over the years — most notably, Lamar Odom’s drug problem — but they genuinely seemed to care very deeply for one another. It’s probably not healthy for the two of them to reconcile in the near future, but I’m sad to think that this is the ultimate end for the stars of Khloe & Lamar.

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber

Ha! Just kidding. Gross. Selena, girl, you can do much better.
