Jules Hough Wants You To Choose Her Wedding Gown

Early this year, Julianne Hough got engaged to hockey player — and total stud — Brooks Laich and posted what is probably one of the most adorable engagement announcement photos I've ever seen. Her ring is stunning, and she wants her dress to be as well, which is why Julianne Hough is asking fans to help choose her wedding dress. The Dancing with the Stars judge and actress took to Instagram to showcase the five beautiful frocks she's narrowed her search down to, and while there's no way to tell what she'll ultimately choose, no matter which one it is, it's going to be gorgeous.

Back in August, the talented dancer announced her engagement to the public via Instagram. In the snap, Hough's future hubby had his back turned to the camera while Hough could be seen with her legs wrapped around his waist staring at the ring we had yet to see. A couple of weeks later, however, we got a view of that killer stone, and it was totally worth the wait. The gorgeous oval solitaire stunned, and the bride-to-be is sure to do the same in her wedding gown. While there have been theories about what she'd wear in the past, we now know her top five options.

On Wednesday Hough took to her lifestyle blog and Instagram to announce that she has her final dress selection narrowed down to the five, and the process of choosing doesn't seem like it was an easy one. Hough apparently created five different mood boards in order to make her final decisions. She said, "I narrowed it down to my top five bridal personalities and created a mood board for each style using various dresses, accessories and other items. I am attracted to different aspects in all of them." Hough's styles of choice: Romantic, boho, classic, non-traditional, and chic. Each of them is perfectly pieced together with accessories that Hough herself curated.

Hough explained that while staying true to herself is the largest part of her decision, she fits into each category at different points. Who hasn't been there? Some days, I feel like a messy top knot and others, I'm full on curls. While Hough's request for help is creative, we'll see how it plays out with thousands of fans chiming in.

If you're like Julianne Hough and need help picking your dress, here are a handful of tips to make decision-making a bit easier.

If you're not one for sexy silhouettes or flowing, romantic styles, shy away from them. You always want to be sure that your bridal gown is totally you.

Think Of Your Wedding Style

Is your big day more casual? A black tie affair? What about a beach wedding? While you should definitely wear what you like, the style of your wedding may be something to take into consideration.

Keep Comfort In Mind

You're going to be wearing your wedding dress for along time on your big day, and while style is obviously important, not being able to move comfortably an hour into your wedding is not good. Choose a wedding gown that is comfy.

Think Of What Makes You Happy

Maybe you're not as obsessed with Say Yes To The Dress as I am, but I'm sure you've heard horror stories about women who let their family members effect their gown choice. While input is great — just look at Hough — be sure that the decision was all yours.

Don't Give Up

Try on as many wedding gowns as it takes. When choosing your wedding dress, don't let anyone tell you to stop. Until you know, keep going. If you're still trying on, and your brain flickers back to a previous gown, just be sure to listen to your own bridal intuition.
