15 Harry Potter Quotes Only True Fans Remember

by Hannah Nelson-Teutsch

I am a creature of habit. As odd as it sounds, I often eat the same exact meals day after day; when I walk to my local coffee shop, I always go the exact same way; and every single time I fly, I re-read Harry Potter. Truth be told, this is an improvement on an old pattern — there was a time when I read Harry Potter with every single meal, and that right there was a habit that quickly alienated both friends and family. Strangers on a plane, however, don't seem to have any hang-ups bout me hunkering down and savoring my all-time favorite texts to my heart's content.

Of course, what with living in Europe and traveling for work, I end up in the air a good deal. And if you factor in my travel reading on top of a lifetime of at-the-table consumption, I would say that you could safely call me a Harry Potter super fan. While I could recite my favorite spells (and I'll admit it, I do from time to time) or make a case for the world's coolest magical creature (let's not go there, it always ends badly...) my favorite aspect of Harry Potter superfandom is the ability to call to mind my favorite quotations at a moments notice. Of course, there are some iconic quotations that even the casual reader will remember, but these 15 passages only a true Potter superfan will recognize. So what do you think, are you up to the challenge?
