Jada Pinkett Smith Sparkles In Naked Dress

The naked dress, which is comprised of embellished, see-through, skin-showing fabric, remains a hot fashion trend of 2015, even as temperatures are dropping. Jada Pinkett Smith's naked silver dress allowed the actress to play a sparkly game of peek-a-boo. The petite powerhouse wore the dress to the 2015 Latin Grammys, accompanying her hubby Will Smith in absolutely fabulous fashion.

JPS's dress was so standout since it wasn't gold. Beyonce wore a golden version of the naked dress, as gold is the more popular molten metal element for these types of dresses. Smith opted for silver shimmer and that made all the difference.

Her dress also wasn't merely bedazzled fabric, either. There was quite a bit of detail present in her party dress.

The dress had strategically placed snowflakes or starbursts that served another purpose besides being a detail. The little burst of fabric covered her nipples, reducing the risk of a wardrobe malfunction. Since the dress was largely see-through in other places, she didn't wear a bra, either. I would assume she had to move rather gingerly in order to avoid any shifting of the fabric.

That said, the dress was stunning. The icy material popped against her skin and the short hem showed off her killer stems. It had long sleeves and a scalloped neckline.

The starburst or snowflake or whatever you want to call it did its job. Make no mistake, though. The dress was certainly daring. It covered her up, yes. But it was still see-through. One false move and we would be having an entirely different discussion here.

It was, however, a fun winter party frock.

It also dipped low in the back, flat out showing skin, as opposed to playing peek-a-boo.

Big ups to Jada Pinkett Smith for offering a fresh take on the naked dress trend. She was a silver siren, for sure.
