Every Woman Needs To Hear These Songs Once
In a world filled with days that are in dire need of pick me ups, some of us have our own go-to song or playlist that we turn to in times of distress, when you're on top of the world, or just need a song to match whatever mood you're in. Whether you turn to Adele's 25 album, or find yourself dancing to One Direction's "Drag Me Down" on your morning commute, certain songs form the soundtrack of your life. But there are some songs that all women need to listen to at lease once in their life. Hear me out.
Even though all women are beautifully different and unique, we are all a little similar. We all have needs and wants, and this applies to music too. A good song can go a long way, and so many memories can be made with the right track. While we all have our own distinct styles that carry into our music taste, there are some tunes that every woman needs to listen to in order to fulfill her duty on this earth. That is, being an awesome, badass female. Dramatic, I know, but you will understand why once you listen to the songs on the list. Here are some songs that every woman needs to hear at least once. I promise, you won't regret listening to these ones:
11. "War Paint" by FLETCHER
FLETCHER might be knew to the music game, but that doesn't mean she doesn't deserve credibility yet! Her empowering first single "War Paint" is not only catchy, but it's a new-age "Survivor" of sorts to help women feel inspired to bring out their boxing gloves and fight the battle that is life.
10. "BO$$" by Fifth Harmony
This song is a shoutout to all of the powerful woman in our world today doing big things and making us all proud, preaching independence and success. It's certainly inspiring if nothing else.
9. "Love Myself" by Hailee Steinfield
Seventeen year old Hailee Steinfield's girl-power anthem "Love Myself" topped the charts for a reason. Not only is it infectious, but it's all about not needing a relationship to determine your worth, which is a message that every woman needs to hear at some point in her life.
8. "Girl on Fire" by Alicia Keys
If this song didn't send chills down back your back the first time you heard it, then I'm surprised. This song talks about the power of a woman who sets her goals high and achieves them. She has a fire in her eyes, the world in the palm of her hands, and well, she's walking on fire.
7. "Who Says" by Selena Gomez
In a world where picture perfect women are put on pedestals, and your worth is determined by how many likes you get on an Instagram picture, it's easy to have low self confidence. Old gems like Gomez's "Who Says" remind us that every woman is a gem, and all of her imperfections make her perfect in her own way.
6. "Run the World" by Beyonce
Never forget that what Queen B says, goes. Never forget who actually runs the world.
5. "I'm Every Woman" by Chaka Khan
It's impossible to not have a huge smile on your face after listening to this old classic. Try feeling down about yourself after listening to this song!
4. "Q. U. E. E. N." by Janelle Monae Feat. Erykah Badu
Because every woman deserves to feel like royalty, am I right?
3. "Fly" by Nicki Minaj Feat. Rihanna
This one reminds us to never stop driving and thriving!
2. "Survivor" by Destiny's Child ft. Dat Brat
If you ever need a pick-me-up when you feel like you aren't strong enough to go on, this song is a constant reminder that you can and will survive! After all, Destiny's Child knows best.
1. "No Scrub" by TLC
TLC's "No Scrub" reminds women that it's OK to have standards, and that you shouldn't compromise your beliefs — or what you want in a significant other — for anyone.
As the Hot 100 changes week by week, so do our lives. With those changes comes the evolution of our lives' soundtracks. No matter what year or season, these eleven songs are ones that every woman needs to hear at least once in their life. Happy listening!
