Malia Obama Slays In J. Crew Coat

by Julia Musto

I swear, Malia Obama's J. Crew coat, which she wore to this year's turkey pardoning, is pulled straight out of one of those "Celebs Are Just Like Us!" pages in People magazine — but this time it's a little bit true. This past Thanksgiving, Malia and her sister Sasha looked like they respectively stepped out of American Apparel and Urban Outfitters catalogues, as in, they looked adorable and relatable.

Although the FLOTUS already has an amazing style icon track record, it seems that the Obama daughters are predestined to continue inspiring teenage girls everywhere with their own cool style vibes. Sasha's jean mini skirt and creme sweater crop top are both from American Apparel, according to PopSugar. Malia wore a forest green A-line mini skirt with a black and white striped American Apparel top. Both girls topped off their looks with black tights, chunky knit socks, and black ankle booties. Sasha also sported a pair of round model glasses complete with turquoise nail polish.

However, everyone was buzzing about the military inspired J Crew coat Malia was rocking. Unfortunately, the coat is sold out online right now, but it is obviously 1. not hard to get the look and 2. not hard to get the coat, if it happens to be restocked! The great thing about the Obama family's fashion sense is that it's classic and easy to replicate.
