What Bethenny Frankel's New Announcement Means

by Emily Lackey

Really, if I could have two things in life that would make me eternally happy, it would be endless episodes of Real Housewives franchises, and all of the amazing food I could eat. In fact, if my life could be a buffet in which Housewives was constantly playing on a flatscreen somewhere, I would probably be happier than I have ever been. Which is why I have always found myself drawn to Bethenny Frankel from The Real Housewives of New York . Here’s a housewife who not only has the quick wit of an improv comedian, but a penchant for cooking amazing meals. So, needless to say, I was thrilled when I heard the news that Bethenny Frankel is launching a new production company and already has a slew of food series lined up for her first projects.

And while the move into producing television shows seems like a great business move for Frankel — the woman has an established empire of cocktails, wines, food products, and even shape wear — the best part of this news is that the projects her production company is taking on are in line with her original love of food. The new production company, B Real Productions, has already signed on to collaborate with Leftfield Entertainment on three unscripted series on FYI: Closet Porn, Cocktail Porn, and Food Porn.

These shows sound right up Frankel’s alley. And as much as I love having Bethenny in front of the camera on The Real Housewives, slinging her sharp words with the best of the drama queens, I’m happy to see her returning to her culinary roots behind the camera with these amazing new shows. After all, cooking and baking is at the heart of most of Bethenny Frankel’s business ventures, and was the reality television star’s original passion. It’s wonderful seeing her using her expertise in the kitchen, on camera, and in branding to create some awesome new shows for all of us to fall in love with.

And with provocative titles like those, who wouldn’t want to try?
