Proof Candice Swanepoel’s Victoria’s Secret 2015 Fashion Show Look Was Inspired By Britney Spears — PHOTOS

There's nothing more iconic than a Britney Spears music performance. I mean, she basically made the schoolgirl look cool with her "Baby One More Time" video, and her "I'm A Slave 4 U" video made dancing with a snake around your neck look sexy, not dangerous. But arguably her most iconic look from a live performance was the sparkly bra-and-flares combo she wore at the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards. At tonight's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, Candice Swanepoel totally channeled Britney Spears —you're going to love the comparison.

As soon as Candice strutted on stage during Ellie Goulding's second performance, I was convinced her outfit was totally designed to channel Britney's iconic VMAs performance. Bra as a top? Check. Long, glittery pants? Check. Bombshell blonde hair? Double check.

Given that Brit performed in 2000, before the age of YouTube or high-defintion television, it's hard to find a clear picture of her wearing that iconic outfit from her performance. I did my best to get some shots of her performance, but she's a ridiculously fast dancer, and she basically never stops moving when she's on stage. To start, check out Swanepoel's complete look from tonight's runway show.

Totally similar, right? The resemblances are almost uncanny.

The zoomed in version of her look shows just how sparkly that bra is, and we all know Victoria's Secret Fashion Show night is all about the sparkle.

The best part? The model and singer totally wore the same bright white shoes, too!

I can't blame the Victoria's Secret designers for trying to emulate this iconic look.

After all, Spears is still an icon, even 15 years later.
