Carrie Underwood Joins The Lob Club

There used to be a time when ultra-long locks were highly coveted, but that time is definitely over. Carrie Underwood debuted a new lob on Tuesday, proving that short hair is here to stay as the official It-do of Hollywood. The lob, specifically, has been reigning celebrity land since roughly two years ago, first made popular by celebs like Lauren Conrad and Julianne Hough. Who knew it would still be so relevant in late 2015?

The 32-year-old took to Instagram to unveil her new 'do with an up-close and personal selfie shot. The picture reveals a choppy shoulder-grazing style with some angled pieces at the front. She flaunted a deep side part and a ton of voluminous body. The drastic chop is particularly shocking coming from Underwood, because she has sported her signature long hair for as long as we have known her. It's difficult to imagine the country singer without it. This shorter style, thought, feels fresh and new, and it totally suits her.

It seems celebrities just can't stop cutting their hair shorter and shorter these days. Kate Middleton just chopped six inches off her tresses, and Khloe Kardashian recently joined the lob club, too.
