Will 'Serial' Season 2 Take A Break For Christmas?

by Michelle Lulic

Listening to the second season of the Peabody Award-winning podcast Serial can sure keep you at the edge of your seat. Which is exactly why fans were ecstatic on December 10 when the first episode of Serial season 2 was suddenly released. However, with just two episodes of the popular podcast's continuation released so far — "DUSTWUN" and "Golden Chicken" — Bowe Bergdahl story seems to be nothing less than action-packed. And now it seems like the adventures might be so intense that nothing — not even Christmas — will stop Sarah Koenig from telling us what happens next. But, will there be a Serial episode on Christmas?

With episodes premiering every Thursday morning at 6 a.m. EST, it just so happens that this year Christmas Eve falls on a Thursday — when a new episode would usually be set to premiere. But, despite the holiday, there will be no interruptions in your addiction to this season of Serial. At least, that doesn't seem to be the case. No announcements have been made with regards to there not being a new episode on December 24th, so for now fans can rest assured that a third episode of the mind-numbingly popular series will be an early Christmas present for all Serial-loving fans.

Meanwhile, when the fourth episode episode is released on Christmas as scheduled, it's bound to be an intense one. After all, Season 2 Episode 2 came to a shocking end *SPOILERS* with an excerpt from Bowe Bergdahl's first hostage video that was released by the Taliban. At this point, it's safe to say that Serial listeners want more, and a little holiday like Christmas isn't going to stop them from demanding it.
