Shushanna Calls Two Places Home On 'The Bachelor'

by Allison Piwowarski

Shushanna made quite an entrance on The Bachelor when she came out of the limo "looking like a rose," according to Bachelor Ben Higgins. Little did he know, she was about to make an even greater impression by only speaking Russian to him. Ben seemed intrigued with Shushanna on The Bachelor premiere, but only time will tell if the two will make a match made in "небеса" (Russian for "heaven"). Until then, you might be wondering where Shushanna is from before The Bachelor .

The point of the limo exit is so each woman can make one great first impression. Some of them choose really outlandish things that either knock it out of the park or go over like a lead balloon. Either way, it's a great way for the Bachelor to get to know a little bit about you before entering the house and truly beginning the competition. Shushanna's foreign entrance didn't teach Ben much since he didn't understand her, but at least she was able to show off her heritage.

Judging off of her Russian entrance, it's safe to guess that Shushanna is Russian. She also posted a photo on a social media account of a coffee mug that reads, "Our Little Russian Princess," which would support the idea. As the show progresses, we'll probably learn a little more about her. Was she born in Russia? Was she raised there? Once she and Ben start communicating on a more even playing field, we're sure to get some answers.

As for where Shushanna currently lives, the contestant states on her ABC biography that she is from Salt Lake City. The 27-year-old is a mathematician in Utah, although that's a pretty vague occupation. Does she teach? Is she in business? Finance? Astronomy? Ben, are you writing down all of these questions I have for Shushanna?

Clearly, Shushanna's background is important to her if she introduced Ben to it within the first few moments. Now, we'll just have to wait and see if the Russian beauty and All-American small town boy fall in love.
