A 14-Year-Old Is Accusing Tyga Of Unwanted Contact

by Kadeen Griffiths

On Monday, Molly O'Malia, a 14-year-old model claimed Tyga sent her inappropriate text messages, after a tabloid story alleged that the two were engaged in a sexual relationship. O'Malia, who is being represented by lawyer Gloria Allred, claimed during a press conference that, "[Tyga] direct messaged me on Instagram. I knew who he was but I was surprised that he was contacting me. I thought that it could possibly be about my music, but he did not mention that in his initial communication with me.... I began to feel uncomfortable when he asked me to FaceTime with him... Because of my discomfort with why he wanted to communicate with me I quickly stopped responding to him. It's crazy how so much can come out of nothing."

Bustle reached out to Tyga's representatives, but did not receive a reply by the time of publication. However, a TMZ article reported that Tyga's manager Anthony Martini claimed Tyga "reached out to 14-year-old Molly O'Malia after his team found out she had a pretty strong musical following online and thought she might be a candidate for a Last Kings Records project... Tyga claims it was strictly business and completely PG. As for her age — according to text messages obtained by TMZ — Molly mentions she is 17."

In addition, O'Malia's mother, Anne, has criticized OK! Magazine for allegedly "falsely [insinuating] that there was an inappropriate sexually suggestive relationship going on between Tyga and Molly." The rapper is currently engaged in a relationship with Kylie Jenner, though the couple has been plagued with rumors of cheating on Tyga's part in the past. According to O'Malia, she is speaking up "because I don't want what happened to me to happen to any other young girl."
