A Look At J. Law's Dating History

by Caitlyn Callegari

You know who has been preaching about the single girl life lately? Miss Jennifer Lawrence, that’s who. And you know what? I am loving every second of it! The Joy actor and current Golden Globe nominee said during a TimesTalk, "It's not a sad thing to be alone... I don't feel like there is an emotional void to be filled." In the words of Queen Bey and Nicki Minaj, it’s clear that she’s really just feeling herself, and honestly, there isn’t anything more powerful than self-love. But, who has Jennifer Lawrence dated? You know, before she was going solo and championing the single girl life?

Well, there are a few answers to that loaded question. Though, it's not too hard to find them considering J. Law’s omnipresence in the media. It appears that she really hasn’t dated too many Hollywood celebrities, and it makes sense: She was with one of her beaus for an extended period of time. Plus, she’s super young, which means that there’s still hope for a Bradley Cooper romance in the future. Sorry not sorry.

Here are a few impossibly lucky dudes who had the great fortune of dating (in some capacity) the incomparable Jennifer Shrader Lawrence.

Lawrence and Hoult were in a longterm, on-again-off-again relationship, but they broke up "for good" in the summer of 2014. In the fall of 2015, Lawrence talked to Diane Sawyer about Hoult and the X-Men movies that marked the beginning and end of their relationship. She said,

I was also in a relationship with somebody for five years and that was my life. So my life was this person and these movies and we broke up around the same time that I wrapped those movies. Being 24 was this whole year of, "Who am I without these movies? Who am I without this man?."

On the bright side, a source told E! Online that the breakup was "very amicable."

Liam Hemsworth

Well, maybe. She admitted to kissing Hemsworth on Watch What Happens Live (the question is asked around 0:20) and it did seem like there was a bit more to the story. You can make heads or tails of it for yourself.

This relationship is probably the eighth world wonder. Not because it was weird or unfathomable, but because it was kind of like the illusive Bigfoot. But apparently, it was real, according to People, who reported that the stealthy couple broke up in August 2015.

A source told the publication that, "Chris doesn't really want the relationship to end, but he needs to be flexible so he can see his family as much as possible with his own work schedule. He's crazy about Jen but wants to keep his own schedule and be able to do what he wants when he wants to do it."

And, to add some more credence to that claim, another source explained that J. Law was apparently, "tired of Chris being so noncommittal." I mean, it makes sense. People also made sure to note that a third source ominously proclaimed that, "They still care about each other, so I can't say the romance is completely over." Man, these sources are making this out to be an Oscar-worthy drama in and of itself.

Who knows what was going on there. Something I do know, though? That J. Law is totally fine with being single. To which I have to say, me too, girl.
