Bustle Celebrates 7 Rad Female Comedians

by Julie Alvin

Maybe you love Valentine's Day. Maybe you think it's part of an oppressive system that suggests that all women can be placated with flowers and jewelry, and also it reminds you how long it's been since you had sex. Whether you adore observing the holiday or would prefer to ignore its very existence, Bustle and Blogologues "One Night Stand" event on Feb. 11 will help you kick off the celebration, or lack thereof.

Bustle is partnering with Allison Goldberg and Jen Jamula, founders of the Internet-themed comedy performance Blogologues, to create a one-night celebration of women in comedy, and it promises to be more satisfying than the mediocre date or self-administered orgasm you were planning on instead. The slate of performers includes Phoebe Robinson, who's appeared on Late Night With Seth Meyers and consults for Broad City; Aparna Nancherla, who writes for Late Night With Seth Meyers; Cosmo sex and relationships editor Lane Moore, who hosts the monthly comedy show Tinder Live; Ashley Gavin, who has appeared on Gotham Comedy Live and in comic showcases around the country; and Katrina Braxton, who will be showing up in the 2016 movie How To Be Single. Between them, they'll talk about waxing, the clitoris, and locking down a winter boyfriend. You'll want each of them to be your new best friend.

To join us on Feb. 11, click here and buy a ticket on Squadup — the show starts at at 8 p.m., but the drinking starts at 7:00.
