10 Celebs Who Don't Wash Their Hair Every Day

by Sienna Fantozzi

You hear people say all the time that they don't wash their hair every day, or that they wash it once a week, or maybe that they don't wash their hair at all. While you might be more reluctant to follow their lead when they're just regular people like me, it's different when you hear celebrities don't wash their hair every day. Now, that could definitely give you some more incentive to quit lathering up on the regs. I mean, you see how gorgeous their hair is, so it's obviously doing them some good, right?

Not all stars are as high maintenance as one would assume, and they totally follow lazy girl beauty routines, too. Even one of the most glamorous stars, Kim Kardashian, revealed she doesn't wash her hair everyday, according to InTouch Weekly. So I mean, if Kim's willing to wait several days between washes, that somehow totally justifies the week I wait before washing my hair.

Given that celebrities have to put their hair through a lot of stress (like frequent blow-drying and use of heated appliances for styling), washing hair everyday would definitely dry it out more. Going longer between washes could protect their hair's health — or it could also just be that they're lazy. It doesn't matter who you are, the struggle of finding the time to wash your hair is universal.

Check out these ten celebrities who don't wash their hair every day as proof that lazy is totally Hollywood-approved.

The secret to Kim's voluminous, shiny hair? “I only shampoo it twice a week to prevent it from drying out," she wrote on her website. “I also love using hydrating at-home hair masks.”

2. Connie Britton

Whether she's Tami Taylor or Rayna James, Britton's hair is literal goals, so you might want to steal her hair secret, which involves waiting as long as she can before washing it. "I’m very low maintenance with my hair. I try not to over-wash it, so the natural oils build up," Britton told Byrdie.

3. Adele

Fact: Nothing Adele does is wrong, including not shampooing her hair for two months. “I only wash it with water. Last night I washed my hair with shampoo for the first time in two months," she told Glamour.

4. Ciara

The singer might not wait two months, but she does wait two weeks between washes. And it still looks fabulous, so there.

5. Gwyneth Paltrow

Given her emphasis on healthy living, I'd expect Paltrow to be a little more high maintenance, but nope. She's a huge advocate of the "no poo" movement, which involves not using any shampoo, using a sulfate-free shampoo, or even washing with baking soda.

6. Amanda Seyfried

Obsessed with Seyfried's glossy hair? Not only does she go three days between washes, but she also swears by dry shampoo.

7. Jennifer Aniston

This woman's hair is so famous, it has a hair styled named after it, so it might be worth listening to her tips. The actor prefers to keep her beauty routine low-maintenance, and only wash her hair every other day or even every three days.

8. Lorde

Have wild, curly, unruly hair? Lorde has the solution. "My hair is wild and what you do to maintain it is: Don’t wash it that often. Once every two weeks is a good vibe," she told MTV.

9. Gabrielle Union

Because it takes a lot of heat to straighten her hair, Union doesn't lather up everyday to avoid damage.

10. Cindy Crawford

Crawford's secret to supermodel hair is to get a blowout and make it last as long as possible, washing only two or three times a week.
