The Kate Moss Campaign We've Been Waiting For

At 40-years-old (yes, 40, really), you would think that fashion legend Kate Moss has already covered all the fashion territory that exists. The model hasn't finished making her mark yet, though. Announced right on the heels of her big birthday (big doesn't really begin to describe it), Moss is now officially the face of Alexander McQueen's spring 2014 campaign.

Moss has been the star of dozens of fashion campaigns, from Calvin Klein to Dolce & Gabbana to Gucci. Having been the star of so many memorable collaborations in her legendary career, Moss has made more than a few famous fashion friends along the way -- Alexander McQueen (both the house and late designer) included.

While this isn't the first time Moss has worked with McQueen , this is her first time being the face of a campaign for the fashion house, and it's a long time coming. The campaign, shot by Steven Klein, includes both ads and a corresponding, surreal fashion film. The photos feature Moss clad in gladiator style pieces, designed by Sarah Burton. Finished off with bright canary yellow hair color, minimal makeup, and gold accessories, Moss' fantastical look is already drawing comparisons to Hunger Games characters.

The campaign photos also feature a tiny, reappearing doll dressed to match Moss exactly. While the doll is just plain scary, it’s near impossible to criticize anything Kate Moss does when it comes to fashion. The campaign, creepy doll and all, is already being called one of the best of the season.
