The One Step To Get Softer Skin Is SO Easy

If you're anything like me, winter means cozy socks, fleece-lined leggings and spending basically all your time indoors where there's heat. And as grateful as I am for the overzealous heating poles in my apartment, I also know alllllll that heat is also contributing to my winter enemy — dry skin. Luckily, the one step to get softer skin is super easy and won't take you long at all.

If you're dealing with dry winter skin, you've probably been slathering on lotion in an attempt to hydrate your skin so much it can't possibly get dry. Well, I'm here to tell you that that's simply not going to work. Yes, lotion will make your skin feel softer. But truly dry winter skin needs to be taken care of in a different way. When your skin is dry, it gets flaky on the surface. In order to truly get softer skin, you need to get rid of those flakes. So what do you need? An exfoliating scrub with moisturizers.

What exactly does that mean? Exfoliators come in all shapes in sizes, but the ones that will make your skin softer aren't too harsh, and despite their scrubbing elements, they also have a moisturizing element, like an oil, that will hydrate your skin.
