How do we love Anna Kendrick? Let us count the ways. Besides being cool, awesome, hilarious, and giving us hope for 2015 already by starring in the Elizabeth Banks-directed Pitch Perfect 2, on Conan Tuesday night, Anna Kendrick revealed Katy Perry "finger-banged" her boobs, straight up. Kendrick sat down with O'Brien and discussed what it was like to be at the Grammy Awards hanging out with Perry. (She also met Beyonce at the show, and naturally, she freaked out.)
"Katy Perry finger-banged my cleavage... it was a weird night. She's very mature," Kendrick says. O'Brien, taken aback, asked if that was standard behavior for the "Dark Horse" singer.
I was kind of asking for it. If nobody did it, I would have been kind of sad. I have met [Perry] before, and she's, you know... aggressive. And I like that.
Besides getting Perry's pat of approval, the Into the Woods star proved herself as the fangirl of all fangirls when it came to meeting Beyonce.
I know everybody is, but I'm totally obsessed with Beyoncé. I walked past Beyoncé at one point, and because I'm not worthy I didn't look at her. We did make a detour down the front just to walk past Beyoncé: 'We'll just walk past her and get some of her aura.' We walked past and my friend was like, 'Dude, she was motioning to you and you just walked past her!' And I panicked. I mean, I didn't know quite what to do, but I thought, 'Once in a lifetime, just do it.' I went back and I was like, 'I'm so sorry to do this, I just wanted to meet you. You're such an inspiration.' And she stood up — she was so nice — and she points to Jay Z and was like, 'Oh, we just watched you on the Kennedy Center Honors. You were so great. You were so cute in your little red dress.'
Kendrick about passed out at this point.
[Beyonce] said that I had a little red dress, which means that she actually watched it, or it means that I was having a stroke and I imagined the entire thing ... so, we're either gonna be best friends or she has a restraining order.
Red dress, finger-banging... Kendrick knows how to choose a memorable gown. If you were Perry — wouldn't you have done the same?
