Teresa Giudice Is Returning To 'Real Housewives Of New Jersey' As "Teresa 2.0"
It's finally official! Only days after getting off of house arrest and effectively ending the confinement portion of her sentence for fraud, it's been confirmed that Teresa Giudice is returning to Real Housewives of New Jersey . In addition, Jacqueline Laurita, who was a "Friend of the Housewives" last season, and Melissa Gorga are also confirmed for RHONJ Season 7. Teresa is the only Housewife who has been on the series, as an official Housewife, for the entire series, so the news of her return is no doubt the most exciting for fans. (Sorry, Jacqueline and Melissa! You're great, too.)
The three Housewives issued statements to Bravo's The Daily Dish in which they commented on what the new season will mean for them. Teresa said, "I am very excited to be back. For me, this season is all about letting go of the past and embracing the future. People are calling me Teresa 2.0."
If you've been out of the loop, the reality star recently served nearly a year in prison for various fraud charges. After being released in December, she was placed on house arrest until Feb. 5. Now, she is free from confinement, and thus able to shoot the show, but has entered a "a two-year period of supervised release," according to her lawyer. As for her husband, Joe Giudice, he starts a 41-month prison sentence in March.
Melissa and Jacqueline also commented on the upcoming season. Melissa told The Daily Dish, "We're back! This season for me is all about family, fun, friendships and fashion. I can't wait for you to see what we've been up to and how much our kids have grown."
Jacqueline said, "I'm baaaaack! I can't get enough of my Bravo family! Sometimes a little break is all I need to jump back in and bring my best! Looking forward to new beginnings. XOXO."
The last season of RHONJ ended in November 2014, so obviously a lot has changed in these women's lives since then, especially for Teresa. Can't wait to see what's in store!
