This Is When Rihanna's Puma Collection Is Coming

by Rosie W.

So, the sold-out ultra-covetable Creepers weren't a fluke: FENTY PUMA is fresh off the runway at NYFW, and it was everything we wanted. The monochromatic athleisure collection was perfect for gothy folk who also like to work out, so the wait until Rihanna's PUMA collection becomes available is going to be a painful one. But we'll get through it, because the chance to own witchy sportswear designed by Bad Girl RiRi herself is too much to pass up.

If Rihanna's uber-coveted Creepers are any indication, demand for this collection is going to be high — as in sold out high — but we have plenty of time to prepare. According to press release, the collection will hit retail shelves in September 2016. Seven months spent in a tent outside a PUMA storefront isn't too high a price to pay for dibs on this collection, right? If you'd rather compete with the Internet horde, the collection will most definitely go up for sale on Puma's online store as well.

In contrast to Kanye West's virtual album release/fashion show for Yeezy Season 3, Rihanna took a more traditional approach in showcasing her first full collection as PUMA's Creative Director. Inspired by Japanese street culture and tradition, Rihanna sent models wearing black lipstick and white paint in their hair (fashion, you guys) strutting down the runway. Hearkening back to 90's goth trends, Fenty x PUMA featured exaggerated over-the-knee Creepers, open laces, and lots of black and white. The result was a mashup of athletic wear meets The Craft that you never knew you always wanted.
