In case you missed the news, Kanye West is releasing another round of Pirate Black Yeezy Boost 350s on Friday, February 19, and the world is already clamoring to buy a pair of the sure-to-sell-out all-black sneakers. From in-store to online raffles to using the Adidas Confirmed app, the number of ways to find the Yeezy Boost 350s is almost exhausting. So, once you get a ticket for the shoes or have them in your online shopping cart, how much do the Pirate Black Yeezy Boost 350s actually cost?
When the Boosts go on sale Friday, they'll be available for a cool $200. Considering Yeezy Boosts are pretty much the uniform of the Kardashian/Jenner clan and all their famous friends, that's actually not a terrible deal. West publicly proclaimed last week at his Yeezy Season 3 NYFW show that he wants Yeezys to be more broadly available to the public, so I appreciate that the $200 price point isn't totally unattainable.
Of course, come February 20, it's pretty much guaranteed that eBay is going to be blowing up with the latest round of ridiculously up-marked Yeezy Boosts. Following every previous release of the cult-favorite shoes, they've been available shortly after on eBay for ridiculous prices ranging from several hundred dollars to thousands. Can you believe that?
I mean, the shoes are pretty awesome, but at the same time, price gouging them on eBay just feels a little wrong. If you don't get your hands on a pair Friday and you absolutely can't live without them, though, you can get them on eBay if you know what to look for in an authentic pair. And, as an added bonus, you'll be twins with Kylie Jenner.
And of course, you'll twin with Kendall (and probably the rest of the Kardashian/Jenner family as well).
Right now, the price for an authentic pair of Yeezy Boost 350s is anywhere from around $300 to over $2,800. Insane, right? Luckily, Adidas is doing its best to cut down on price gouging like this by limiting sales to one pair of Yeezy Boosts per person. And, if you're lucky, you'll get your hands on a pair when they go on sale Friday. However, if you just can't wait, you'll know to turn to eBay in the meantime.
