Charlotte Rampling’s First Oscars Dress Was Old Hollywood Glamour At Its Finest — PHOTO

This model and actor has been making waves in the media lately, but Charlotte Rampling's first Oscars dress proves she's been memorable for decades. As a woman who is known for her impeccably classy and sharp style, even at 70 years-old, Rampling was not afraid to flaunt a little bit of glam glimmer in her day. At the 1976 48th Academy Awards, Rampling was on the arm of actor Anthony Hopkins in a stunning black evening gown with a draped caped designed with embroidered golden curly-q detailing. The neckline of the dress below was a low v-cut with a very classic and straight line.

Rampling also flaunted a beautiful dark and rosy lip, lightly smoked out eyes, and a perfectly coiffed bob that paired perfectly with her sharply angled features.

This look is so transitional, that you could probably see it on every red carpet for the past forty years. The metallic accents are practically 2016 Jeremy Scott. However, flash is not in Rampling's red carpet style repertoire. The actress has been sticking to all black structured looks for the past few years. It is likely that she will wear something similar to the Oscars this year, as she is nominated for "Best Actress" in her role in the film 45 Years.

Here's a look back at her red carpet fashion evolution!
