4 Ways To Get Your Girl Scout Cookie Fix

by Meghan Bassett

Is anyone else out there over-the-moon excited and jumping up and down for joy? Girl Scout cookie season is here. But, before you crack into that mouthwatering box of Thin Mints, you need to know how to order Girl Scout cookies — because let’s face it, we’re all addicted, even though we may not all know an actual Girl Scout.

I used to be a Girl Scout, and Girl Scout cookie season was my jam. I would rock the heck out of selling those cookies like no one else in my troop. It’s not because I’m a born salesperson. No, it was because my father promised me that for every 25 boxes I bought, I’d get one box all to myself. Talk about the best motivating idea ever. I sold ridiculous amounts of boxes just so I could get my hands on one more box of Thin Mints. P.S. Have you ever tried Thin Mints after they’ve been in the freezer for a bit? I am pretty sure that’s what heaven tastes like right there.

Whether or not you have a Girl Scout in the family, you most likely want to indulge in some cookies. If you don't know where to get them, this is your complete guide to getting your Girl Scout cookie fix this season. Bring on the sugar coma.

1. Check to see if your coworkers know any Girl Scouts

You may not know a Girl Scout, but chances are one of your coworkers’ kids, nieces, or younger cousins is one. Chances are someone you work with has a Girl Scout in the family who’ll be more than happy to take all your money.

2. Find a cookie booth near you

You remember seeing those Girl Scout cookie booths outside the store last year, but now they are nowhere to be found. Don’t panic. Simply enter your zip code on the Girl Scout website to get the dates and locations of everywhere those adorable girls will be bringing in the big bucks from massive cookie sales.

3. Get the app so you can always find cookies

That's right, there’s an app for Girl Scout cookie nirvana now. Get the Girl Scout Cookie Finder app on your phone, and you’ll be able to find the closest Girl Scout cookie booth to you. It’ll even tell you all the different kinds of cookies that are available to you in your zip code. Dang these girls know good marketing, don’t they? The app is available for both iPhone and Android.

4. Buy cookies online

Girl Scouts have finally made the move online, but you still have to know a Girl Scout (or someone else who knows a Girl Scout) to get in on that deal. With the Digital Cookie™ platform you can order whatever you want online from your favorite cookie-selling Girl Scout, and even pay with credit card (who carries cash and checks around anymore anyways?). Not all Girls Scouts are participating right away so it'll depend on where you live. All you have to do is mention it to a Girl Scout you know or ask one of the girls at any cookie booth — they’ll get you the link to buy and you can say hello to some very delicious cookie credit card debt.

Thin Mints, I’m coming for you.
