Sophie Turner Was A Sustainable Dream

by Amanda Richards

Just like Sansa Stark's bold political plays throughout Westeros surprised fans on the last season of Game Of Thrones, actor Sophie Turner surprised everyone by showing up on the 2016 Oscars red carpet — and thankfully, Turner looks like she's having a much better time than Sansa ever did.

After Turner skipped the Golden Globes a few months ago, there was no telling whether or not she'd show up for the biggest awards show of the year. When she popped up in the E! red carpet interview room, her presence was a welcome shock. What was not surprising, however, was how amazing the actor looked.

Wearing a sage Galvan for Opening Ceremony gown, Louboutin heels, and Tiffany jewelry, Turner looked absolutely stunning. And there was more to her look than just fashion: As Turner pointed out, her entire look was totally sustainable, a nod to the Red Carpet Green Dress challenge, an initiative that encourages ethically made and sustainable garments on the red carpet.

Actor Lily Cole will also support the initiative tonight (rumor has it she will be wearing an ethically made Vivienne Westwood ensemble), but there's just something about Turner's look that's really next level. See her incredible look below.

Maybe it's the amazing color, or the fact that it perfectly matches her eyes, but Turner just proved that looking perfectly high-fashion doesn't have to come at a high environmental cost — what could be a better message than that?
