Sofia Vergara Stuns In Blue At The 2016 Oscars

When you're one of the world's most famous actresses, it's kind of hard to miss an opportunity for a fashion moment. It's like she was made for the red carpet, which is certainly the case tonight: Sofia Vergara at the 2016 Oscars looked absolutely stunning in a navy blue ball gown. Usually, Vergara goes with a similar silhouette on every red carpet, and tonight was no different with a supremely fitted gown, usually with a mermaid flare at the end.

The Modern Family actress pretty much nails every single outfit. Her hair, her makeup, her dress, and, most importantly, her jokes are always on point. She proves each time that she's just as beautiful inside as she is on the outside. And tonight, Vergara rocks Marchesa yet again, and paired her dramatic dress with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, of course. The gown, in a dark navy blue, is a seriously different choice from what Vergara usually goes for — reds, whites, pinks, and other bright colors are usually in her ensemble, but tonight, it looks like she went for a more serious, dramatic look.

As for her hair, Vergara went with an sleek ponytail in a middle part, and went with a red lip to top it all off. And in an interview with Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet, Vergara admitted that this is a different look for her, but that she definitely likes it.

And she's not the only one, because I'm digging this look, too. While Vergara always looks super playful, cheerful, and fun in her more lively colors, this navy blue definitely adds are more serious tone to her look, which is completely appropriate for the Oscars.
