Kym Johnson & Robert Herjavec Have Happy News

by Allyson Koerner

They haven't really been making headlines ever since their season of Dancing With the Stars came to an end, but that's all changing now. Kym Johnson and Robert Herjavec are engaged, the Shark Tank star revealed to People. "I still can't believe that a year after walking into a dance studio of all places, my life has changed this much," Herjavec said. "Kym is an incredible woman and I'm just so excited for what the future brings for us." Johnson appears to be just as excited, as she told People, "He's a wonderful man and I'm so lucky." So, with that said, when are Kym Johnson and Robert Herjavec getting married?

If you ask a source who spoke with E! News, their wedding appears to be right around the corner. Actually, the insider said the 39-year-old dance pro is hoping their wedding will be "soon." Guess what? Johnson confirmed this herself. While chatting with Entertainment Tonight at Elton John's Oscar party Sunday, she said, not only will their big day be "soon," but she added, "Why waste time?"

Based on Johnson's announcement on social media about their engagement, it makes sense that she'd want to get married immediately. Alongside a photo of herself and her 53-year-old fiancé, she wrote, "I never thought a year ago I'd meet someone who would change my life completely! I'm the luckiest girl in the world because last night the love of my life @robert_herjavec asked me to marry him and I said yes!" When you're that in love, why wouldn't you want to get married as soon as possible?

During Season 20 of DWTS (which aired in 2015), the couple were assigned as dance partners. Clearly, their relationship evolved into something much more. Immediately, romance rumors started circulating around the duo, who repeatedly denied anything romantic was going on. Eventually, they came clean about dating one another.

In January 2016, Johnson dished to People about why their relationship works so well. "We were friends first, and we got to know each other on a friendship level; I think that's really important," she said. "That developed into something else, and it's really great. We're both each other's number one fans, and have respect for each other."

So, now that Johnson and Herjavec aren't being shy about their relationship status, let's talk their actual wedding. Do you think it will be small and simple? Will it be grand and over the top? Whatever the case, the happy couple already have several wedding details figured out, including what song they chose for their first dance as a married couple.

"When we were on the show last year, the week before we got kicked off, they gave us a song. And it was Etta James' 'At Last,'" Herjavec told Us Weekly at a 2016 Oscar viewing party. Johnson added, "It was our next dance to do but we got voted out so we never got to do it, so it will be our first dance as husband and wife, I guess."

As for where their wedding will be held, it won't be in Johnson's home country of Australia, but rather in America. "We’ll bring everyone here," she also told Us. "We might go back to Australia and do a big party there with all my friends, and that one will probably be pretty wild, you know Aussies get crazy."

It sure sounds like they can't wait to become husband and wife. I mean, can you really blame them when they are this in love?
