Jimmy Kimmel Could Have Surprise Emmys Guests

by Jordana Lipsitz

I will never forget the moment I found out the wonderful news that Jimmy Kimmel will be hosting the Emmys in September, because it was hands down one of the best moments of my life. (But I also found myself wondering, you know, why is Jimmy Kimmel up at 5:45 a.m. PST posting things on Twitter about hosting events? He must be as excited about being the host as I am about him doing it. But I digress.) Awards shows can be ridiculous and just a tinch boring, but I have high hopes that with Jimmy on board, this September's will be tongue-in-cheek and downright wonderful. The question I have is, will Jimmy have a lot of guests at the Emmys?

As a host of a late night show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Kimmel uses a lot of fun celebrity guests to push the fun along. I still take pride in re-watching "I'm F*cking Matt Damon," featuring the lovely Sarah Silverman, and then the star-studded "I'm F*cking Ben Affleck" retaliation. And who could forget "Jimmy Kimmel Sucks!," when his Matt Damon nemesis took over the show and there were celebrity guests left in, right? Don't even get me started on "Celebrities read mean tweets" –– the man really knows how to work with the stars to create something hilarious.

As much as I want to see every single bit that was ever used in Jimmy Kimmel Live! I am also excited to see how the host does without them. Sure, he will still be rocking the celebrity guest vibe, as a lot of those people will actually be present anyway, but I think we might get a lot of solo Kimmel –– which will be incredibly interesting to watch. Kimmel didn't make it as a host of one of of ABC'S longest running talk show without being a talented comedian, so I'm sure he's going to have some great material.

Well guys, now we just get to sit and wait and wonder. Fingers crossed that Jimmy gives us the show of a lifetime, y'all. Add a toe cross in there too in hopes that Matt Damon will make an appearance ––– I just love that guy.
