These Celebs Opened Up About Their First Love
It sounds cliché, but I think it's totally true that you never forget your first relationship. Even if it doesn't end up being your last relationship, during that time, you learn a lot about yourself and what you look for in a potential partner. even if it comes to a dramatic, disastrous end. They can be embarrassing, messy, and awkward, but first love, and none of us are immune — not even celebrities. No matter how much you might want to pretend it never happened, it happened... and it probably helped shape who you are today, even just a little bit. And fortunately for us, plenty of celebrities have talked about their first relationship, and their stories are actually really interesting.
Although some of these celebs are usually pretty private, at some point in their career, they've shared the tales of their first kisses and first breakups, and even though it's hard to imagine these super successful people blindly fumbling through their first encounters with love the way the rest of us did, it happened. Their first relationship may not be the relationship they're in right now, these memories definitely make for some really juicy anecdotes — funny, sad, and everything in between.
1. Emma Stone
I was crawling on the floor. I remember throwing up. Like, within the hour. I remember being on the floor . . . I have never felt anything quite like that. It was so visceral. It's like someone has killed you and you have to live through it and watch it happen . . . It was awful.

2. Selena Gomez
I was 18 years old, and it was my first love. The older I get, I’m guarding certain things more. After being put through the scrutiny, I understand what it is. When you’re young and you’re being told so many different things … it almost felt like all we had was each other, like the world was against us, in a way. It was really weird, but it was incredible. I would never take it back in a million years. You live and you learn, you know?

I had a crush on my babysitter growing up. I think everybody does at one point. She was amazing. Her name was Brooke . . . She was in college, she was about to be in college. I was in third grade. . . She was in high school, and I think she was working at the rec center where my parents sent me for daycare ... I was there a lot. I fell in love with her the first time I saw her.

People would be surprised as to the lack of experiences I've had. When I was 12, 13 I had my first boyfriend, and he was my boyfriend till I was 17. At that age, that was a long time. I've always been very loyal and a little more mature.
— On her early dating history while talking to The Telegraph
10. Miley Cyrus
I remember the exact date, June 11 2006. It was the day I met my first love. I knew from a friend that he thought I was pretty. He came up to me with a bunch of guy friends and introduced himself. Instantly, I wanted them all to go away just to be with him. He started to shake my hand, and I said, "I don’t do handshakes, I do hugs."

11. Nick Jonas
I was so young. What's unfortunate is that, as we got older, we ran in different circles. We've always had respect and wished the best for each other. I don't know that I have any regrets. It's more gratitude for having had a good friend in a time of craziness in my life and in hers.

First loves (and their endings) can be really rough, but without them, nobody would know how to appreciate it when things go right. And if these celebs ever want to go into more detail about these relationships, I'll be waiting!
