Taylor Swift Isn't Impressed By Justin Bieber

Over the past few weeks, the never ending pattern of Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber dating rumors has hit an upswing, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't upset about it. OK, I don't know them, but I think at this point we can all agree that Bieber isn't good for Gomez, and it's probably best if they move on from each other forever. And even though she hasn't said anything yet, I've always suspected Gomez's BFF would have an opinion about all of this, and now, it looks like I was right. Taylor Swift's reaction to Justin Bieber at the iHeartRadio Awards on Sunday night was perfect, and it pretty much confirms the fact that she's totally over their relationship, just like the rest of us.

If you caught the awards, you probably already know that Bieber opened the show, mashing up his single "Love Yourself" with his other song, "Company." Unfortunately, Swift wasn't into it, and I doubt the reason why had anything to do with his performance. When the camera panned over to Swift's table, she could be seen clapping for, like, a second, and then taking a swig of whatever it is that she was drinking, making it seem like she's totally over him, and I get it. I, too, feel the need to take a drink every time I remember Gomez and Bieber could be back together, so she's not alone on that one.

Is it just me, or does she look completely unimpressed? And her boyfriend, Calvin Harris, isn't exactly jumping out of his seat to applaud, either, which gives me even more reason to think that this reaction was intentional.

Of course, there are a million potential reasons that could explain why Swift wasn't as enthusiastic about cheering for Bieber as she is for most other people. Maybe she was caught up in a conversation and was preoccupied. Maybe she just doesn't like him for reasons that have nothing to do with Gomez. But if I had to connect the dots, I'd say it's very possible it has something to do with the fact that Gomez just can't let him go, no matter how many times they've broken up, and I'm confident in saying this because it's not the first time Swift has had an adverse reaction to Bieber in public. Backstage at the Billboard Awards in 2013, she stuck her tongue out at the sight of Gomez and Bieber smooching hello, and it's to funny not to fully appreciate now that she seems like she's experiencing similar feelings again.

And in case you've forgotten, Bieber and Swift were pals once. Remember that time he pranked her on Punk'd? Remember that time he was one of her opening acts during her Fearless tour? Remember when he came on stage to perform as a special guest during her Speak Now tour? They used to be close, so something had to have happened between then and now for her to express absolutely no interest in him or his career whatsoever. What other reason could it be than he treated one of her closest friends poorly in their relationship? It seems like a pretty easy conclusion to draw.

I'd love to think that Swift's disapproval could change Gomez's mind about Bieber for once and for all, but if that were true, it would have happened by now. I guess we'll just have to sit back and wait 'til the next award show for more clues. I love when sassy Swift comes out to play, especially since she's always very poised when she knows all eyes are on her. Bring it on!
