So, This Is Def The Worst Song Of 2014

by Lia Beck

It's only February, but the worst song of the year is already out. Billy Ray Cyrus has recorded an "Achy Breaky Heart" remix with rapper Buck 22. They have also released a music video and if somehow this song doesn't end up being the worst of 2014, the video is definitely the worst of it's kind. Just to give you some background first, the original "Achy Breaky Heart" came out in 1992. While insanely popular, it was horrible but it is a masterpiece compared to "Achy Breaky 2." Buck 22, on the other hand, is the son of legendary singer Dionne Warwick and his Twitter bio reads, "I am Buck 22. The new revolution of Country Music mixed with Hip-Hop. Join the movement." His location is noted as, "Anywhere with a Dirt Road." So... yeah. That's what we're dealing with here.

In the video, which is by far the worst part of any of this, Larry King announces that a UFO has been spotting flying over Europe and is headed for Kentucky. Yes, the real Larry King. We then see Billy Ray Cyrus walking with a child carrying a fishing rod and they get sucked into the UFO. Inside, the child turns into Buck 22 but somehow is still shown dancing on the spaceship later. Billy Ray Cyrus remains as himself and he and Buck 22 begin performing.

The UFO looks like a club inside and is full of regular people, all of whom are happy to be there, as well as what I think are supposed to be alien women. These women are very, very close to being completely naked. What they're wearing can best be described as stripes — you'll see. They stand up against walls and shake their butts like crazy and it's totally ridiculous. Some might call what they're doing "twerking" and, speaking of, Miley and her own twerking get a shout out in the song's lyrics. Buck 22 raps, "Miley keeps twerkin', daddy's song is workin', now Billy sing that crazy hook again" and Billy shouts, "wrecking ball!" Ughhh. Please let it be discovered that this was an intricate plan set up by Billy Ray to get Miley to stop twerking by using reverse psychology. If I were Miley and I saw my dad singing next to a dozen nearly nude twerkers, I would wear a turtle neck and long pants from now on and never dance again.

Watch the video for yourself below if you aren't too scared. Seriously. You should maybe be too scared.
