COVERGIRL's Katy Kat makeup line is starting out with just two products — mascara and lipstick — but the company is still going about it in a big way. Not only does the line of lipsticks include 13 new shades in a demi-matte finish, but the price ranges from $6.99 to $8.99. With so many gorgeous summer makeup launches in the works, affordability is a beautiful thing. You'll be able to snag up all the fabulous lip colors you want, without having to save forever to get them. That sounds like a win to me!

According to Vogue, Perry wanted to do create something that the company has never done before and make it all about the hottest trends. “I wanted to push the envelope with CoverGirl," Perry told the publication. “You know, a black lipstick or a blue mascara is very Tumblr — I told them, this is what’s happening online, this is what everyone’s Instagramming.”

It seems that Perry has done exactly that. Between the affordable prices and the large range of colors, I can't think of a better way to kick off summer. Unfortunately you have some waiting to do before the June 2016 launch, but the first 100 people to pre-order will get a products signed by Perry herself. I can't think of a better reason to get your hands on the demi-matte shades!
