Gwen, is that you?! Gwen Stefani shared a makeup-free selfie on social media recently, and I literally did a double take to make sure it was really her in the photo. The songstress is one of those celebrities that you rarely ever see without a fully made-up face, so getting a glimpse of how she looks once she ditches all the product is pretty mind-blowing.
The 46-year-old took to Instagram on Thursday night to flaunt her au naturel look. While not blatantly specifying in the caption, she appeared to have not even a drop of makeup on. Sporting naked skin, sans even the most minimal things like eyeliner and lipgloss, the singer has seriously never looked better. Her complexion was still luminous, she had no traces of dark under-eye circles, and there was not a blemish in sight. If it were me, I'd never wear makeup again.
The totally bare look is pretty surprising because the singer has made bright red lipstick and a bold cat eye her signature makeup style, even as early as her No Doubt days. Come to think of it, can you try to remember a time when you saw Stefani on TV or online and she wasn't wearing red lipstick? Didn't think so.
Check out the stunning makeup-free selfie.
She looks like a totally different person.
Let's now compare to her usual glam makeup look.
Wow, what a difference!
Though she tends to stick to her typical red lip and cat eye, let's take a look at a few other times she rocked a more minimal makeup style, shall we?
1. At The 2015 American Music Awards
A nude lippie looks just as good on her as a red one.
2. At The 2015 Grammys
Believe it or not, this is what minimal makeup looks like for Gwen Stefani.
3. At The 2014 PEOPLE Magazine Awards
She tends to play up her eyes when she opts for a minimal lip, and it looks stunning on her.
4. At The 2015 Emmys
This is definitely one of my all-time favorite beauty looks on her.
5. In This Bed Time Selfie
She woke up like this.
6. Before Getting Her Glam On
I love that she gives fans a view from the glam chair.
7. While Hanging With Beau Blake Shelton
She is clearly comfortable and confident in her own skin.
