The Richest Real Housewife Of NYC Is...

by Marenah Dobin

If you wanted to play a Real Housewives of New York City drinking game that could get you a good buzz with just one rule, it would be to drink every time Bethenny Frankel mention's her Skinnygirl empire. It would get the job done every single time. All that business talk has me wondering who the richest cast member is on RHONY. I assumed that it was Bethenny since she is always yammering on about her professional ventures, but that is not the case. You are probably reading this and trying to think of who on the show is selling products and endorsing random things on Instagram, but the wealthiest lady on Real Housewives of New York City is not one of those people.

Actually, it's the only woman who does not discuss finances or shopping on the show: Carole Radiziwill is the richest RHONY cast member — by far. According to Celebrity Net Worth, Carole has an estimated net worth of $50 million. Wow. That is a crazy amount of money. I don't know about you, but I would have never guessed she was quite so wealthy after watching her on the show. Then again, if I had $50 million to my name, I would not be talking about business or material matters on a reality TV show either. I would just spend my time relaxing in piles of money without a care in the world.

But how is Carole so rich? Carole is a New York Times best-selling author, which is no small feat. It's hard to figure out exactly how many books Carole has sold in her life, but her book What Remains got a major boost in sales once Carole joined the RHONY cast. In an interview with Fishbowl NY, Carole revealed that her publisher had to order 50,000 more copies of the book six years after it was originally released once it started being talked about on RHONY (remember Bookgate?). I'm sure that selling books has earned the reality star plenty of money, but she has only published a few books, so there has to be more to the story here.

Well, before Carole was an author, she was a well-respected journalist. She was a production secretary for the show ABC Close-Up, and also served as a news anchor at ABC. She even won a few Emmys and a Peabody award for her work.

On top of that, and not to sound crass, but Carole's late husband was a prince, so I'm sure that set her up pretty well financially. Not only is Carole a part of Prince Anthony Radziwill's Polish family, but he was also part of the Kennedy family.

And when it comes to her reality TV career, according to an article from All About The Tea, Carole was reportedly racking in $175,000 per season on RHONY as of May 2014. This was estimated two years ago, so I assume that her salary has gone up since then now that she's no longer a new face on the show.

Biggie once rapped, "Mo money, mo problems," but that seems like it could not be further from the truth for Carole Radziwill. It seems like that estimated $50 million net worth is enough to keep the Real Housewife satisfied.
