These Celeb BFFs Def Celebrate National BFF Day

by Daniela Cabrera

On June 8, one of my favorite holidays is being celebrated: National Best Friends Day. OK, so I actually didn't know it was BFF Day until Tuesday morning, but I still took it upon myself to let some of my favorite people on Earth know how much their friendship truly means to me. A best friendship is a seriously intense relationship, so naturally, I'll probably post an obnoxious amount of photos to social media, openly confessing my love for my BFFs. But the day also makes me think of my favorite celeb BFFs who love to gush about their friends on their social media, too. And just like the rest of us are annoying, yet very cute about it, as all good friends should be.

I always get a warm feeling in my chest when I hear that two celebs are very close and supportive of each other, because it seems like such a rarity in the cut-throat world of Hollywood. I also get a totally innocent tinge of jealousy when I realize that these BFFs are endlessly talented and can take exotic vacations and post on red carpets together, and still stay super chill.

I rounded up some celeb BFFs who openly share their love on social media, and sometimes walk the thin line between cute and being those annoying friends who are always documenting everything or using Snapchat obsessively. I feel their pain.

Colton Hayes & Emily Bett Rickards

Hayes and Rickards met on the set of Arrow and are pretty much attached at the hip. It's difficult to find one photo that sums up their adorable relationship, but Rickards definitely loves being the one to share countless pics of her BFF whenever they're doing anything cool, which is often.

The Girls Cast

The ladies of Girls were either already friends (like Jemima Kirke and Lena Dunham) or became real life best friends over the course of the show. Dunham definitely loves to show off her buddies on social media.

Taylor Swift & Lorde

Look at this caption! Although a rumor once tainted their friendship, Swift and Lorde have remained as close as ever, and recently spent a pretty sweet weekend at Coachella, where they watched Fifth Harmony's Camila Cabello teach their other friends how to to do the "Work" choreography, and I wish I was there.

Minka Kelly & Mandy Moore

I didn't know that these two even knew each other until I randomly started following Moore's Instagram and discovered that she's best friends with Lyla Garrity! Talk about all my favorite things from my teens colliding. They've even celebrated National Best Friends Day before!

Selena Gomez & Taylor Swift

T. Swift's "girlsquad" has reached iconic proportions recently, but her friendship with Selena Gomez has stood the test of time. The both very often celebrate each others' accomplishments and aren't afraid to share their love with the world.

Kylie Jenner & Harry Hudson

Over the past year, Harry Hudson has seemingly appeared out of nowhere and took over most of Kylie Jenner's social media channels. The two have known each other for a while now, but it seems only recently they've grown to be the closest they've ever been. Jenner is the type of friend who Snapchats too much, and Hudson is seen in about 70 percent of her snaps, so they're perfect for each other.

JWoww & Snooki

Try as hard as you can to not love these two, but it'll be nearly impossible. Since meeting on Jersey Shore, the two have been inseparable and are now embarking on new careers as mommy entrepreneurs. They even call each other their "dysfunctional extended family" and they share tons of clips from their show on Awestruck.

Vanessa & Stella Hudgens

Who says you can't be best friend with your siblings? I count my brother as one of my BFFs, and sure there are pros and cons, but no one can have your back like your family. Vanessa posts a photo or video of Stella at least every other day, so they are extremely close and always going on really fabulous trips and wearing amazing clothes.

Busy Philipps & Michelle Williams

They co-starred together on Dawson's Creek way back in the day and these two ladies have been best friends, ever since. Philipps has supported Williams a few times on red carpets, and has openly gushed about their friendship. She told The Advocate in 2013, "My friendship with Michelle has stood the test of time, and we’ve been together through many different versions of our lives. I love her as deeply as I love almost anyone."

Lea Michele & Jonathan Groff

Ugh, these two are so cute! While Groff doesn't have an Instagram of his own, he pops up on his BFFs Michele's page a lot. They love to snuggle in bed and he has been with her while she went through break ups and heartaches. That's what friends are for!

It's so sweet to see that some celebs are annoying best friends, too!
