Jeffree Star Cosmetics is an indie makeup brand but it's really starting to catch mainstream looks. The brand's Velour Liquid Lipsticks consistently sell out and these lippies come in a variety of shades, from wearable neutrals, like Androgyny, to outrageous hues, like the minty Breakfast at Tiffany's. A-list celebs are starting to pay attention to Jeffree Star Cosmetics, as singer, actor, and Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson wore one of the Jeffree Star Lip Velours during her 2016 BET Awards performance. Which shade of Jeffree Star Cosmetics Lip Velour did Hudson rock?
According to the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Instagram post, the glamorous J. Hud "slayed" the brand's Redrum shade. I love how it had an orange cast and popped against her gorgeous skin and the light robe that Hudson wore.
It's a big moment when a mainstream star rocks JSC at a major awards show. Perhaps even more A-listers will start wearing the brand's offerings at big events. I've repeatedly said that Summer 2016 marks major expansion for Jeffree Star Cosmetics, since the company has expanded with eyeshadow palettes and Skin Frost highlighters. This is another instance.

Isn't she a vision? It's an adventurous, screen siren shade and Hudson totally killed it. In the Insta post, JSC pointed to her makeup artist, who confirmed using the shade. Could Redrum take off and become a runaway hit on red carpets moving forward? Here's to hoping.
