Tinder For Anti-Brexit People Now Exists

by Alexi McCammond

Dealing with heartbreak is never easy; dealing with the crushing reality that your country willingly decided to leave the European Union is probably a lot more difficult. Luckily for those Britons who voted to remain in the EU, now, anti-Brexit campaign members can find love with the simple click of a button on a new dating app.

It's like Tinder, but for those feeling the massive "Bregret" after Britain officially voted to exit the EU. The app, Better Together, is made for "dating for the #Remain crowd," according to its website. Rihanna would most assuredly consider this finding love in a hopeless place, and Better Together recognizes their target audience really needs some love right now:

Better Together Dating is a unique dating service for the 48%; for those who know that Britain is stronger within Europe, for those who celebrate the diversity, joy, and love that our great continent provides, and for those with Bregret.

Better Together's logo, the EU flag with hearts instead of stars, is a perfectly hopeful visual reminder that, yes, Britain may have decided to leave the EU, but now there's an opportunity for all the "Stay" voters to join forces romantically. Because if you're uncertain of the future of your country, you're going to need someone to make you feel better.

Similar to Tinder, this dating app targets a younger crowd, which makes sense considering 75 percent of voters between ages 18 and 24 reportedly voted to "Stay," along with 56 percent of voters between ages 25 and 49, according to a YouGov exit poll. And with a resounding 52 percent of Britons voting to leave, “Why wait until you’re halfway through an evening before finding out your date voted Out?” the Better Together website asks.

When filling out your Better Together profile, it asks you questions like: “What is your favorite city to visit in the EU? What languages do you speak? What countries have you visited in the EU? Tell your favourite story!”

As of now, Better Together exists only online and as an Android app, but it's projected to launch an iOS app at some point next week. So no matter where you are, if you're feeling the heartbreak after the Brexit news, you can rest easy tonight knowing that finding love with a fellow #Remainer is just a swipe away.
